Tips on how to engage visitors in a blog:

1. I bet that big thumbs up caught your attention. To get people to engage with your blog you need something at the start that catches your eye, like the image I have inserted here or a big eye catching headline that will entice viewers to read on and engage with your blog. The more colour and exuberance the better.

2. Make your blog easy to navigate with a clear layout, such as the way I am numbering my tips in this blog. You can clearly see the layout and it is easy to read.

3. Create valuable and high quality content: In your blog you need to provide content that solves problems for people or provide useful information. If your blog has solved a problem for a person in the past they will be enticed to continue to engage in your blog going forward. The same goes for if people pick up useful information from your blog.

4.  Encourage interaction from your readers. You can do this by asking questions in the blog and getting the viewers to comment their answers. This encourages readers to not only interact with the blog but to interact with other people online and possibly make new friends, essentially making your blog a hub for social interaction. 

5. Share your blog with your friends and family as well as posting it on your social media accounts to reach a wider audience. Even ask your friends and family to share it with their own friends, you never know who might find the blog useful or entertaining and this could create a domino effect of shares and engagement on your blog.

6. Analyse your blogs performance, see what blogs performed well and what ones didn't, try and decipher the reasons for this and make the relevant changes to combat this.
